Nour.. the turkish show... and the arabs unity

The episode number 100 is about to be shown on television...
of course, it does not make a difference for some of us, but for those who are watching Nour everyday, it is a question of living or dying...
Though Arabs now have excelled in producing the best drama with stories that tell about our own experiences, alot of us turned towards Turkish shows being shown currently on MBC TV.

I have always heard about how these shows are great and they are intersting to watch and bla bla bla.. but my question to myself was always, what makes these shows unique, and how are they different that the mexican shows which used to be a trend on our respectable Arab tvs?

To answer this question, I started watching Nour, I found it to be an ordinary show, with an ordinary story, with some very ordinary characters (that might be in some cases less than ordinary)..
But even though I am writing these words about this show, I found myself sitting the next day and watching the next episode and the next and the next and so on until I am now about to see episode number 100.

the answer actually started growing in my head..

Nour, and the other characters are people like us, who enter our houses for one hour a day and we watch thier lifes with ALL (and I mean ALL) the details of their lives.

I am not asking people responsible for arabic drama to do the same thing in thier shows, becuase we are always the importers of such drama, never the EXPORTERS!!

But before ending, I am really grateful for the Turks, they were able to unite Arabs in front of television in a step that Arab governments never succeeded in!!

Bless!!
